Citing Sources

Don’t trust your sources!

Evaluate every source you use. Ask these questions:

Author
-Who wrote this source? What does the author do for a living?
What makes the author someone you can trust on this topic?

Date
-When was this source written? Is it current?
Is the information likely to change quickly?

Appearance
-Does the source look professional? Are all the words spelled correctly?

Accuracy

-Does this information agree with other information you’ve found?
Always check more than one source!
